 The
LandMarc Press Gold Package includes all the services you need to turn your
manuscript into a ready-to-hit-the-marketplace professional book.
We begin with a copy edit of your manuscript,
where we correct errors, query you about conflicting statements,
and prepare a style sheet. The copy editor is most concerned
with the clarity of your arguments, the consistency of your
word choices, and the crispness of your language. We then create
a custom interior design for your book. You have four design
built into the Gold Package so that you can tweak fonts, spacing,
graphic elements, etc.
Once you approve the design and have
returned the copyedited manuscript, we will lay out your book,
create a front matter, and ensure the design of your book focuses
the reader where you want them to focus and pulls them along
through the entire book. Your page proofs will be sent
to you for approval and corrections, after we perform a fifteen-step
quality control check on the pages, design a cover, and perform
a proofread. Just as in interior design, you have four revisions
to the cover design built into the Gold Package. Once we receive
your reviewed pages, any corrections or changes you have marked
will be made and we will send you quotes on printing costs.
After you have chosen the type of book binding and quantity
of books you wish to order, we will begin the printing process
and your books will be delivered to our fulfillment facility
within about eight weeks. While printing is underway, we will
be designing sales/promotional sheets and postcards for your
book sales. In addition, your title will be featured on the
web site and will be available for sale there. All Gold Package
authors receive monthly inventory and sales updates on their
titles, detailing the number of books sold. As with all of
our packages, additional services can be purchased a la carte
for an additional fee.
